As a collection of initiatives for urban renewal, retail real estate represents a fundamental tool for territorial development and revitalization. The Convention brings actors from all parts of the supply chain together to demonstrate how:
- a network-building approach is the only winning strategy for development, especially at this critical juncture;
- P.A. represents the backbone of change, and must be transformed from an impediment into the impetus for a coordinated public/private approach;
- the world of finance must not be left out of this process: the development cycle cannot be restarted until the investment and credit markets are brought back on-line. This will deflate the most critical problems and take some pressure off the operators, making space for the laying of a new foundation for more sustainable relationships.
